Northern Cotton Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Geitz as its Chief Executive Officer. Tony will join Northern Cotton Pty Ltd in August 2025 having resigned his position as Head of Cotton, Australia with the Louis Dreyfus Company earlier this month. This appointment marks a significant step towards consolidating Northern Cotton Pty Ltd as the go to choice for competitively priced cotton ginning, cotton seed trading and logistics solutions for northern Australia.

Allan Myers will act in the capacity as Interim Chief Executive Officer until Tony officially takes the reigns.

The Board of Northern Cotton Pty Ltd and WANT Cotton Pty Ltd thank David Connolly and Sue Brosnan for their unwavering efforts over the past four years to oversee the construction and operations of the cotton gin. Under their stewardship, completion of the gin in 2023 heralded a new chapter in the Northern Territory’s agricultural landscape by providing world class ginning facilities with the capacity to process between 150,000 and 200,000 bales a year, setting new standards in quality and efficiency.

The appointment of Tony Geitz reinforces the commitment of Northern Cotton Pty Ltd to the future of cotton production in the north. It ushers in a new era of stability and maturity in agriculture in northern Australia and it is a gesture of confidence in the Northern Territory and its economy
