Welcome to the November update from Northern Cotton.

This month we’ve been tidying up after a busy ginning season and making a start on our maintenance program. With bales moving off the pad and others heading out of the warehouse for export from Darwin there is still plenty happening on site. We have also sold an additional quantity of seed for export, set to sail to China in early December. This now leaves Northern Cotton with no remaining cottonseed available. A huge increase in domestic demand this year has seen seed moving faster than ever and further than ever. For those interested in new-season seed next year, please get in touch early so we can do our best to accommodate everyone’s requirements.

This week we welcome new start Renee Green. Renee is joining the team as our Accounts Administrator. Renee brings over 18 years of experience in agriculture, production to her role in Accounts at Northern Cotton. With a background in textile production and agricultural quality management, she offers strong operational and financial skills. Currently studying Agricultural Technology Management, Renee supports accurate accounts and smooth day-to-day operations across the business.

This year the site will be shut for two weeks over Christmas from the 19th December reopening again on Monday the 5th of January. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and look forward to working with you in the 2026 season.
